Burberry was the one to watch for the final day of London Collections Men 2016

One of the most anticipated shows of London Collections Men, is always the very British, Burberry. So it was only fitting that chief creative and chief executive officer, Christopher Baily present his Autumn/Winter 2016 collection on the final day of the 4-day event. Adding to the intrigue of this must see show was the fact that Burberry made headlines late last year when it announced it was collapsing its lines in an effort to broaden appeal. Along with the latest fashion, the fortunate attendees were eager to see what this change meant for the venerable brand.

Today’s collection taken from the old bridal mantra, “Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue”, was not a bridal homage but more of an idea of how the collection was put together. Old classic pieces borrowed from around the world were interspersed with looks from today. The blue was one of the color themes woven throughout the collection although other shades of browns, reds, tans and greens were also well represented. Also something new was the introduction of the satchel bag a little carryall that was designed for both men and women.  To continue reading click here…
